Governors is a modular sound installation and performance in which the interaction between the acoustic properties of a space and movement is made audible and tangible through the materiality of microphones. This interplay between sound, space, and movement creates a dynamic game of layered feedback. The installation and performance provide space for both collective listening and individual positioning of the audience. Visitors are invited to move through the space and create their own listening experience. This positioning and active participation in the listening process contribute to the emergence of evolving sound configurations and make it possible to explore different soundscapes. The project emphasizes the interaction between the physical space and acoustics, inviting a more conscious experience of sound in relation to the environment and the body. The result is a unique, ever-changing auditory experience that is both individually and collectively experienced.
